Foundations have always been my favorite makeup product, even though most people say it never looks like I’m wearing one. And that’s exactly how I like it. My skin but better! And just like I switch my wardrobe every season, I also switch my foundation routine. For example, In summer, I prefer lightweight foundations over the full coverage ones that I use in wintertime. You can imagine that I’ve collected the best base products for each season over the years of working in the beauty industry. And I’m also so lucky to try out new ones whenever a brand drops new releases. I swear I have the coolest job ever 🤩. And I generally love what I do!
So, in this post, I’ve listed a few in my opinion of the best lightweight foundations for the summer of 2021. Some of them are so-called foundation veterans that owned their strips in the beauty community. Others just made it through the stores but are diffidently worthly to have a place on this list. And I’m confident enough to say that one of these best natural-looking foundations can give you the perfect base that you desire. Something light enough to blend into your skin but strong enough to hide redness or even out dark spots. Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
This one is definitely one of my favorites. And just like last year, it made its way again to the list. It’s a lightweight foundation that is perfect for summer but provides the right amount of coverage. That doesn’t feel heavy at all on the skin. I love this Dior Backstage Face & Body foundation so much that I use it the whole year through. You can even use it on your body. The color range is also pretty good, and it’s available in 40 different shades. Did you know that Megan Markle wore this foundation on her wedding day? Her wedding day makeup was the talk of the beauty industry. I mean enough reason to give it a try.
Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint
One of Fenty’s recent releases is The Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint. This one is available in 25 flexible shade tints. This means that 1 shade can cover up to four different shades. I love this one because it’s so lightweight and blends beautifully into the skin. I swear you can apply this in 2 minutes! It’s Amazing in blurring pores and texture. But still feels very fresh and natural on the skin. For me, it feels like I’m wearing a moisturizer and not so much as a foundation.
It Cosmetics CC Cream
The It Cosmetics CC Cream, I think, is the only full coverage foundation that made it to my favorites list of summer foundations. It can be used as a foundation, anti-aging concealer, moisturizer, and sunscreen. A great option if you’re in a hurry or when you want to minimize a few steps in the morning. Cause it’s a skincare and makeup product in one. And besides the fact that it’s a full-coverage cream, it still blends easily into the skin. I love to use my fingers to blend it in. And a little bit really goes a long way. In need of camouflage redness and dark spots? Give this one a try; You won’t regret it!
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation
The Light Wonder Foundation of Charlotte Tilbury is beautiful on its own; however, I like to mix it with my moisturizer. I love how hydrating it is, and it gives me enough coverage to make it through the day. If you want more coverage, you can build it up. But what I love the most is the glowy finish it gives me. That healthy-looking summer glow that we all live for. Obsessed!
Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation
Can we expect anything else than perfection from Pat McGrath? No, we can’t! And this Skin Fetish Sublime foundation did not disappoint me. It was like having a filter on that smooths out the skin. And because it’s so lightweight and natural looking, I really thinks I catfish’s some people that my skin is so beautiful and even 😊. And I love that it not clogging to the skin. Whenever I want more coverage, I just build it up.
Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation
If you never tried Selena’s Gomez Makeup line before, you need to try it out asap! They have some amazing products, and the Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation is one of them. With his lightweight, hydrating serum formula, it really feels like skin. When you first apply it, you noticed that the coverage is minimal, which is great if you’re into fresh and natural makeup. But if you want more coverage, you can easily build it up to cover anything you want to hide. This one is definitely a dupe for the Pat McGrath one that I mentioned earlier.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
One more veteran made it to the list of Best Lightweight Foundations For the Summer Of 2021. The only foundation that, as soon as I ran out, I’m buying a new one! So clearly, Luminous Silk Foundation is one of my favorite foundations ever! And not just for summer, but I use it the whole year through. I love how lightweight and slightly glowy it is. I get so many compliments on how dewy and glowy my skin looks. The blending and build-up are amazing. I know I mention this before, but you can’t go wrong with this foundation.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation
Airbrush Flawless Foundation is infused with some amazing skincare care ingredients. And as we know, the Charlotte Tilbury brand is well-loved among makeup artists. And I agree! The foundation is beautiful, with its infused anti-aging features. But guys, it’s sweat and humidity proof! Exactly what we need for summer. The shade range is pretty amazing as well, with a total of 44 shades! It has a medium but buildable to full coverage. When it dries out, it has a powder/velvet matte finish. But the skin still feels and looks like skin.
